  • Flooding of low-lying agricultural land continues in the Willington, Ingleby, Barrow upon Trent and Swarkestone areas. Bargate Lane at Willington, the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow and Ingleby Lane may be affected by flood water. Also, the B5008 at Willington, the access frontage at Swarkestone, the A5132 between Willington and Barrow and Meadow Lane may be affected. The current level at the Willington river gauge is 3.1 metres and the forecast is for river levels to remain steady today. The current level at the Shardlow river gauge is 2.78 metres. River levels at Shardlow are peaking and are expected to fall from 7 AM this morning.
