Three Day Flood Risk Forecast

Valid from 10:30 on 19 Dec 2014

Summary

Due to persistent and heavy rain over the south Pennines and Welsh mountains on Thursday night, rivers are responding to the recent rainfall and some localised impacts are possible from river flooding. Due to this the river flood risk is LOW across parts of Yorkshire today (Friday), and also for the Upper Severn in Shropshire and the Telford and Wrekin area today and Saturday. Further persistent rainfall on Sunday evening will fall on already saturated ground and may lead to further localised impacts from river flooding across parts of North and West Yorkshire. The flood risk across this area is low, and is highlighted as yellow on the maps below. Elsewhere, despite there being heavy rainfall at times the flood risk is very low. This forecast is updated daily - please check again for the latest forecast. For local flood information please contact Floodline on 0345 9881188.
